About The Role

Low Laithes are recruiting for a Domestic Supervisor on a permanent, full time basis.

You will support the Facilities Manager and work closely with internal and external clients such as Senior Leadership Team, Grounds & Maintenance, and Contractors and most importantly of all our Residents.  You will be responsible for overseeing the domestic services at Low Laithes, offering support, motivation supervision and guidance for the 5 Domestic Assistants in their day-to-day tasks and responsibilities.  This role involves a large amount of administration so it is essential that the right candidate has good knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Office.  

Key Responsibilities will include;

Support the FM and the wider site senior management team in ensuring the monitoring of domestic services standards, undertaking corrective supervision and training/coaching where required.

Assist the FM in the day-to-day planning and delivery of domestic services to the agreed operating standards.

Providing appropriate and timely services to all residents and staff.

To assist in planning staffing requirements on a day-to-day and periodic basis.

To assist with staff performance management matters under the guidance of the FM.

To assist in monitoring and managing stock, including white goods, laundry services, chemical supplies and household equipment.

To monitor staff attendance.

To ensure compliance and implementation of policies and procedures are undertaken to the required standards, by the domestic staff, this includes Legionella checks (checking of water temperatures – training can be given) and internal audits on stock/ equipment.

To undertake such other duties as directed by the FM.

About You

The successful candidate must have the following experience;

  • Experience of working with domestic services processes in a customer facing domestic environment.
  • A Good Understanding of Health and Safety Issues through appropriate training and practice - including risk assessments, COSHH, Manual Handling.
  • Able to supervise staff, co-ordinate work activities, and train staff on the job.
  • Good communication skills, organisational skills, and able to prioritise work in a busy environment and meet strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail and demonstrate the ability to identify problems and resolve issues effectively.
  • Good computer skills with experience working with Excel, Word, and MS Outlook.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to enhancing Hesley Groups Values.
  • To have or be willing to be put through an Enhanced DBS check.
  • IOSH managing safely qualification or willingness to work towards achieving this qualification.
